Interested in Joining Our Team?
Please read the description/information below before contacting us
It's not often that the WHPS team offers a space for future members. However, at this time, we are looking for potential candidates. Before contacting us to schedule an interview, please review all the information provided. Take a look around our site and really take a moment to reflect on whether or not becoming a paranormal investigator is right for you.
Potential candidates must be over 21 years of age. You will be asked to fill out and submit a health record for us to keep on file in case of an emergency. You must be physically able to climb stairs, sit, stand or walk for long amounts of time. Many places we investigate are abandoned and you will need to be able to get around in the dark with only a flashlight.
You must be computer literate and have access to your own in order to review evidence. You must be willing to volunteer your free time in order to help review your own evidence and evidence gathered by the rest of the team.
Travel is a must. We travel throughout the state for home investigations as well as walk-throughs and locations that are known for being haunted may be within the state or throughout the U.S. You will be expected to cover your share of expenses when you do choose to investigate known locations. Fees for haunted locations can be anywhere from $25 and up per person not including transportation/food.
You must be an active member of the team. Even if you do not attend an investigation with cost, we do expect you to assist in home investigations, walk-throughs, interviews with clients, etc. If we go out of our way to train you, we expect you to utilize those skills in helping those families in need.
Absolutely and under no circumstances is drinking or drug usage allowed before/during/after an investigation or while wearing the WHPS team shirt or logo in public. Once you become a member, you represent the team and any behavior while wearing our team logo will be that of respect not only for the client, but for the locations we investigate. We are professional, courteous and sympathetic towards the client we are helping.
Paranormal investigating is not easy, it requires a lot of patience and is very time consuming and can become expensive, depending on how devoted you are. There is no payment. We do this voluntarily in order to help families in need and to promote paranormal awareness throughout our communities.
The WHPS team will train you thoroughly with home investigating and at other haunted locations. We expect all recruits to follow team rules and regulations at all times as safety is our number one priority.
If, after reading all of the above, you feel you would make a good candidate, please send us a message using the contact form on our website. We will return your message and contact you to schedule an in-person interview. Please note that during the interview, we will be wanting to get to know you better, learn of any experiences you've had and what, if any, experience in paranormal investigating you have.
