    Patterson Rd. Cemetery

    10/22/11

"Blue Light Cemetery" aka Hillendahl-Egglin Cemetery located off of I-10 in Houston, exit Eldridge, and turn left on a little road called Patterson Road was one of WHPS's very first team investigations. Although our results were inconclusive, it should not dissuade those who are interested in the paranormal from going and checking it out for yourself. The WHPS team, unfortunately went on an evening close to Halloween and regardless of the time we arrived, there were many cars and teenagers about "getting their scare on". For this reason, we ended our investigation early and dismissed all evidence as contaminated because of all the surrounding noises we were having to deal with at the time.

If you look around the net, you will notice many sites, blogs, etc about this particular location. Blue light cemetery has quite a haunted history and there are many claims of paranormal sightings, noises, cold spots, orbs, etc. This cemetery is actually difficult to find because it is in a small open patch in the dense wooded area giving it an additional creep factor. The cemetery itself is known as blue light cemetery because of the swamp gas/phosphorescent tombstones.

This location has suffered a lot of vandalism and flooding. This area was once a small town. There have been many deaths due to auto accidents and you can see the white crosses along Eldridge where these deaths have occurred. There was also a murder in which the body was left to decompose.
