Sedamsville Rectory
10/5/13
WHPS travelled to Cincinatti, Ohio to investigate this infamous place said to be one of the most demonic hauntings in the United States. It is a historic building that is over 120 years old with 2 floors and a basement. It has been featured on many programs such as Ghost Adventures and Haunted Collector.
This place did not disappoint, it was worth the trip. we divided into 3 teams one on each floor and rotated every hour with an observation station in the kitchen area. Throughout the night the team reported hearing voices, seeing shadow figures and we even conducted a circle to bring in energy. During this excercise we captured what appears to be spirit orbs entering the circle, this was very interesting. The air in the building was clear most of the night, very little dust was seen on the IR cameras so could this have been possible spirit activity? There was no movement by anyone and there were no other sources of airflow we could detect and based on the timing and conditions, it seems very possible we had someone join us. We did not however pick up on any demonic activity but there is certainly something there. There were also rumors that dogfighting was conducted in the basement, one of our members reported feeling very sad in the area and did not wish to remain and left to another area.
One of our favorite moments was right at the beginning when two of our investigators were in the basement. The observation station noticed glowing eyes in the window behind them at which time they called out "Whoa, what the heck is that behind them (edited)!". Needless to say this alarmed the investigators who could hear upstairs and they departed the area rather quickly. Turns out we had furry visitors, a family of racoons living outside. All in all this was an awesome investigation and the owners were very cordial. If the opportunity arose again, we would certainly go back!
